REX & Industry Partners Engages & Enables Malate Catholic School for Work Immersion Job Fair
According to a study conducted by the People Management Association of the Philippines a few years ago, four (4) out of 10 fresh graduates and young jobseekers are not hired simply because they lack three key qualities — critical thinking, initiative, and effective communication skills . With our more than 65 years of service in the education industry, we believe that work immersion is an effective avenue for Millennials to develop these crucial 21st-Century Skills. This is why we continuously evolve our programs and services to ensure that we are working together towards providing more meaningful learning experiences to students. Being true to our mission of engaging and enabling the stakeholders of the success of each child, our partners in education.
Last January 29 2018 at the Malate Catholic School, the REX Senior High School Work Immersion team along with eight of our industry partners for the program engaged more than 150 grade 12 students to help them identify their first step to the professional world. Coming from our recent participation in the SHS Work Immersion Industry Forum, REX and several companies teamed up to provide students with meaningful work immersion experiences. Each student undergoing the program were interviewed and assessed to identify which of our partners are best suited to help them have a preview of what it’s like to work.
