2017 has been a great leap for education. As we move forward to a new year, let us look back at the most viewed and talked about education news we published this year before we meet 2018.
Number five on our list, our COO Don Timothy Buhain’s blog entry about the Senior High Work Immersion Program and why everyone (schools, teachers, parents, communities, industries etc.) should be working together to create more meaningful immersion experiences for SHS students.
Next, our participation during the first Senior High School Work Immersion Forum last September. Together with organizations like DepEd, CHED, PMAP, PCCI, and DOLE, the future of the SHS work immersion program was discussed and how it affects both the academe and enterprise.
As part of intensifying our efforts for the Senior High School Work Immersion Program, we have also started to support schools and organization in the process of creating meaningful immersion experiences. Kicking-off with our partnership with RCAM ES clusters 5 and 6 for their work immersion fair last August.
And finally, number one on our list. Part of our effort to promote the Whole Child Initiative in the Philippines, The Whole Child in the 21st Century Infographic. This infographic describes what the whole child is and how it is relevant in 21st Century Learning. Shifting the focus from mere academic achievements to the promotion of each child’s long-term development and success.
With this we end the year being thankful to all our partners in education that we have engaged and enabled. We are hopeful that the next year will be a brighter year for the whole child.
