As the leading learning solutions provider in the Philippines, we at REX Book Store are dedicated in providing our partners in education the right solutions to prepare each child in this complex, rapidly evolving, globally connected, highly technological, and environmentally fragile world. With the need for holistic development being a common goal for most schools, our focus has always been to offer the best value and convenient access to learning through relevant channels.
Following our Annual Educators’ Congress (AECon) last October that engaged more than 700 school leaders across the archipelago, we are extending our reach to our partner subject area coordinators from all over the country to get immersed in the whole child approach and 21st century learning through the Subject Area Coordinators’ Forum 2017 (SAC Forum 2017). With this year’s theme being “Securing the Success of the Whole Child in the 21st Century”, we are aiming to support the endeavors of our partners and do our share of advancing the K-12 initiative.
In this program, subject area coordinators from selected schools will be able to gain access to the necessary tools they may use to plan and respond to the demands of 21st century teaching and learning using the Whole Child approach.
More than 6,000 subject area coordinators from 3,000 schools are expected to participate in this movement as we further expand the reach of the Whole Child Initiative in the Philippines. Facilitated by educators trained by philippine curriculum expert Ms. Rita Atienza, attendees are immersed in activities that will help them understand the indicators of a whole child and how they can ensure holistic education in their schools followed by discussions about different subject areas by REX partner authors for 21st Century Learning.
The SAC Forum 2017 will go to different regions of the country in the coming months just before the next school year starts to engage and enable our partners in education to secure the success of each child in the 21st century.
